FAQ
Will My Machine Work With The Cutie Breeze?
Â
Most sewing machines with an 8″ or larger throat space can be used with the Cutie Breeze.

To use the Cutie Breeze successfully, your machine should:
• Have at least an 8″ throat space
• Allow the feed dogs to be lowered or covered
• Have a foot pedal cable that is at least 5 feet long (or use an extension)
• Consider the block sizes you’d like to quilt. Larger throat spaces allow for larger quilting designs before advancing your quilt.
Not sure if your machine qualifies? Give us a call. We’ll help you determine if your machine is compatible before you invest in a frame.
What Size Block Can I Quilt?
The size of your machine’s throat space determines how much quilting area you have before advancing the quilt.
As a general rule, larger throat spaces allow you to quilt larger blocks, motifs, and quilting designs in a single pass.
For example, a machine with a 9″ throat typically provides about 6″ of quilting space, while a machine with a 13″ throat provides closer to 10″ of quilting space.

If you love larger quilting motifs, feathers, or custom designs, a machine with a larger throat space will give you more room to work.
What Size Quilt Am I Restricted To With The Cutie Breeze?
You’re not.
One of the biggest misconceptions about the Cutie Breeze is that a smaller frame means smaller quilts. The Cutie Breeze quilts zone by zone, allowing you to advance the quilt as you work.

That means you can create anything from a crib quilt to a king-size quilt without needing a large rolling rail frame taking over your sewing room.
With the Cutie Breeze, you can:
• Quilt crib quilts
• Quilt throw quilts
• Quilt twin quilts
• Quilt queen-sized quilts
• Quilt king-size quilts
• Advance your project one section at a time
• Store the frame when you’re finished
• Enjoy larger projects without dedicating an entire room to quilting
The frame size affects your workspace—not the finished quilt size.
That’s the real secret behind the Cutie Breeze.
Can I Add Automation Later?
Absolutely!
One of the biggest advantages of the Cutie Breeze is that you don’t have to buy everything at once.
Many quilters start with the Cutie Breeze frame and the sewing machine they already own. Then, when they’re ready, they add Quilt Motion X (QMX) automation to make quilting faster, more consistent, and easier on their shoulders, neck, and back.

Start where you are:
• Use the sewing machine you already own
• Learn frame quilting at your own pace
• Quilt projects manually as you build confidence
• Add QMX automation when you’re ready
When You’re Ready To Level Up:
• Edge-to-edge quilting
• Repeat designs with precision
• Let the computer do the driving while you supervise 😉
• Finish more quilts in less time
The best part? You don’t have to decide everything today. Start with the frame and the machine you already own, then add automation when you’re ready.
Whether you’re just getting started or dreaming about automation down the road, you can build your quilting system one step at a time.

Does The Cutie Breeze Fit On A Table?
Yep! That’s exactly what it was designed for.
The Cutie Breeze measures just 53″ × 27″ and fits on many dining room tables, craft tables, workbenches, and sewing room surfaces.

Perfect for:
• Dining room tables
• Craft tables
• Folding workbenches
• Sewing studio work surfaces
• Multi-purpose rooms
When you’re finished quilting, the frame can be disassembled and stored until your next project.
Do I Need A Longarm Machine To Use The Cutie Breeze?
Nope! That’s one of the best things about it.
The Cutie Breeze was designed to work with many domestic sewing machines, allowing you to quilt larger projects without replacing the machine you already know and love.

Whether you’re quilting on a Baby Lock, Brother, Janome, Juki, or another compatible machine, the Cutie Breeze lets you get the benefits of frame quilting while continuing to use your favorite machine.
Some quilters eventually decide to upgrade to a dedicated quilting machine. Others happily quilt on their domestic machine for years. The Cutie Breeze gives you the freedom to choose.
Is The Cutie Breeze Hard To Set Up?
Not at all.
The Cutie Breeze is much easier than that piece of furniture that came with 427 screws, three mystery parts, and instructions that made absolutely no sense.
Think more like this: connect this, tighten that, and BAM — you’re ready to quilt. 😉
Most quilters are surprised by how quickly the frame comes together, and the setup video at the top of this page is only 52 seconds long.
And if you get stuck? Give us a call. We’d much rather help you get quilting than spend your afternoon trying to decode assembly instructions.
What If I Set This Up On My Dining Room Table?
Absolutely! In fact, many quilters do exactly that.
The Cutie Breeze was designed to fit on tables, workbenches, and other everyday surfaces. At just 53″ x 27″, it takes up far less space than a traditional quilting frame.
Fair warning, though: if you set it up on the dining room table, you may find yourself looking for excuses to order takeout, make crockpot dinners, or suddenly become very interested in paper plates. 😉
The good news? You can quilt projects of virtually any size without dedicating an entire room to a quilting frame.
