Why the name Sew and Saw?

More than a sewing and quilting shop...

Sew & Saw was born from the idea that creativity does not have to stay in one lane. We love sewing, quilting, embroidery, appliqué, and machine education—but we also create wood art, signs, puzzles, and handmade pieces for our gift shop.

One day we started asking, "What if a piece of wood art could become an appliqué design?" What if an appliqué could inspire a quilt block? What if a stitched design could turn into a little wooden puzzle or keepsake?

That’s where the name came from.

Sew is for the fabric, thread, stitches, quilts, embroidery, and creative projects we help bring to life.

Saw is for the wood, signs, art, handmade gifts, and the unexpected creative ideas that still belong here too.
Sew & Saw is more than a sewing and quilting shop — it’s a place where different kinds of creativity can meet, mix, and become something beautiful.

Creativity Is Better Together
What Makes Sew & Saw Different

At Sew & Saw, we focus on more than products — we focus on helping creative makers learn, grow, and actually use what they already own.

From real-world machine education and longarm quilting support to creative classes, embroidery, quilting, sewing, and project guidance, Sew & Saw was designed to feel welcoming, inspiring, and community-driven.

Creativity isn’t about perfection — it’s about confidence, exploration, and allowing yourself to create something meaningful.

At Sew & Saw, we believe learning should feel encouraging, approachable, and inspiring. Whether you’re just getting started or exploring new creative possibilities, our goal is to help you feel supported every step of the way.
